Talk with CPR
What happens during fire damage restoration?

The sequence may include emergency securing, damage assessment, water removal from firefighting efforts, soot and residue cleaning, odor control, contents handling and planning for repairs or reconstruction.

Can smoke residue spread beyond the room where the fire occurred?

Yes. Smoke and fine residues can move through openings and air pathways and settle on surfaces away from the source. The affected area should be assessed before ordinary cleaning begins.

Should I wipe soot from walls or belongings?

Avoid aggressive or improvised cleaning until the material and residue are evaluated. Some methods can smear soot or set residue into porous surfaces.

Can CPR rebuild after fire cleanup?

Yes. CPR is a California licensed contractor and can coordinate eligible repair or reconstruction work after the property has been stabilized and the project scope is defined.
